Work Wear Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! It is the middle of the week and usually that means I have finally woken up on time, remebered to put concealer under my eyes and am wearing clean clothes out of the dryer. And it means you get to see what I am wearing this week!

So much of closet is black and white for work. I like going simple and classic and knowing that everything in closet can work together. The shirt is Everlane's Silk pocket in White. It goes for $65. I am totally obsessed with Everlane at the moment. Their website is located here. They are a great brand to buy if you want to know where your clothes are coming from. They aren't all made in the US, but you can info on every step of the process. Additionally they show you how much of a mark up they are putting on each item. Everlane says traditional retail on this shirt is $215.  What I love best is that is an everyday silk shirt. It feels like a little bit of luxury when I wear it. I am wearing a medium and it is a little small in the hips, if I order another I will probably get a large. Here is the shirt shown below on the model, from the website:
On the bottom I am wearing my all time favorite pants! They look like trousers and feel like leggings. I have a full range of motion in these babies, when I do yoga in my office I don't feel like I am going to bust a seam. They are supposed to be cropped, but I am so short they sit at ankle length for me. So if you have longer legs expect more of a cropped look. I bought them during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so they were a bargain. I recommend sizing up one size as they run a tiny bit small, I am usually an 8 and wearing a 10. Book of The Month Box Review

I love new books, so when I saw a Facebook ad for something called Book of the Month Club I was immediately intrigued. I had been halfheartedly Looking for a book club to join, but hadn't found one in my area that I was excited about. This solved that problem and is basically an introverts dream book club. Here is how is works:
On the first of the month you are presented with 5 options. Each book is selected by one their Judges. Each month has a guest Judge, July was Arianna Huffington. Each Judge summarizes their book and why they loved it. and then you get to select the book of your choice.

Your book ships out to you by the 6th of the month (unless you are a new member, in which case it comes as soon as you choose).

My first book choice was 'Girls' by Emma Cline.

I had a promo code when I signed up so my box also came with a Free tote and sunglass. The author has a really compelling voice and I am totally sold on her style of prose. I decided to add an additional book for $9.99, since there was a torn between two options. I chose "Sleeping Giants".

For me, getting a subscription box is all about the little details. Each of my books came is a note like the one below. They are printed on cardstock and they gave me the feel of a book club, without actually having to make those human interactions.

This subscription box is amazing and what I love best is that the price is much less expensive than buying a big retailer. For a 3 month membership it is $14.99 per month and an additional book is always $9.99. I have paid $25+ for a new hardback, so this is a great deal.

Thinking of joining? Here is my referral Link

Have you read either of these books? Thoughts on book of the Month Club? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Reading!
